I've put together a news article regarding the recently passed UK Criminal Justice & Immigration Bill which will criminalise the possession of adult, staged, consensual violent pornography with draconian penalties of up to 3 years in prison. Crazy.

I'm looking forward to your debate around this matter, but I do encourage you to view it without prejudice and most importantly, whilst not freaking out about potentially being locked up because you have a pic of Betty Paige in a corset, or that you bought your girlfriend a pair of fluffy handcuffs for valentines day and can't remember where you put the polaroid pics of her grinning like a fool whilst you pretended you had lost the key.

The question that follows on from the bill is this: if the activities or material in question are not abusive, should they be outlawed because some (or even most!!??) people find them distasteful ?

It is worth remembering that a majority once took that view on homosexuality.

Please bear in mind that this law is for UK only - and whilst the rest of Europe will most likely bring in their own version, deviantART falls under American law.
