This piece is very engaging as the model's gaze draws the viewer in, as do the brushes creating a focal point.The punches of maroon in the brushes are really great too. Although I love the use of the brushes, this piece is top heavy because of the flat blacks in the brushes, I think the use of more shades of gray would play up the values in the photo. I really like the graininess of the photo, however, I think if that same grain was throughout the entire picture plane I think it would look more intentional. Overall great work !

Interesting photomanipulation. I'm really liking the top of the picture with the different designs, it brings out the character of the photo and can really define some personality there. Good blend of tones and shapes to really bring out some individuality to encompass the work, something I like to see when it comes to pictures like this.

The subject individual seems slightly out-of-place throughout the middle section of the picture and the bottom. The reason being is that there is a lot of focus near the head and the top of the picture while the rest kind of mellows out. In a way it's a nice effect, but it comes with a bit of of a lacklustre feeling to it when you look at the bottom of the picture. It doesn't have all the expression and essence which the top has.

Overall it's pretty good. Like I said, it denotes individuality and expression, a great thing to have in photomanipulations, but a bit of work could be done to bring out the subject a bit more and possibly empower the bottom part of the image.
