I'd rather have an opt-in than an opt-out. Or maybe have it as a selectable option that is off by default?

I just think that I wouldn't want to have a recurrent charge go on my bill and it slips my memory.

i don't have a lifetime account and i'm not selling anything UNFORTUNATELY, so i don't know if that would be good....???

Lifetime account rocks the recurring billing option.
My guess is... the poll is justified, yet this kind of option would be necessary only to high-class artists, not to most amateurs or semi-pros who inhabit dA. The checkable option seems legit to me.
